Does it make sense to distribute Wi-Fi over long distances through a network of repeaters?
The task is to cover a small village with a Wi-Fi network. Is it reasonable to use repeaters for this purpose or use other options? Coverage area 1-5 km. It is possible to run a gigabit cable to the village.
Goal: Inside the houses, the wi-fi signal level should be high.
And will the speed suffer from the fact that wi-fi is relayed farther and farther?

Each subsequent repeater divides the speed of the previous one by 2 (+- error). Something like this would work for your purpose: https://airmax.ubnt.com/
If using repeaters, I would do this.
We put a pillar like "central". We hang wifi bridges on it (connected directly to the switch). And then we connect 1 "distributing" point to each wifi bridge on the other side of the village.
Ie switch> repeater> distributing wifi device.
So that each distributing device has its own "channel".
But ideally, of course, throw at least a twisted pair over the poles
