Does it make sense to buy a Macbook now?
I do web development, often away from home.
I want to take under this case the maximum light and thin laptop. The choice fell on the Macbook Air (more inclined to 13''). The budget is limited, about 35-40k.
Does it make sense to take a 10-12 year poppy for this money? Will it handle the requests I need - code editors, PS, work in the console, several working browsers?

Macbook is a working tool that lasts for many years. If you have already decided to buy it, then do not be stingy or take a loan. It's okay to invest in your work tool.
For work, it is best to take a new macbook pro (or a top-end air 13), its performance is guaranteed to be enough for you for the next 5 years.
Do not listen to people who say that macbooks are show-offs. Rave. The perfect combination of hardware, software, autonomy and convenience.
Here, for example, look at one of the competitors of the top firmware: here . The price also bites, with good performance, a cheap case and less battery life. Well, the overall reliability of such beeches is not a fact that it will last 5 years like a clock.
air, however, is better then at least 2013, they will live longer, you can find cheaper

Will he pull the requests I needAnd how do we know if you have enough ?
Mac is more show-off than performance. You can buy a more powerful, silvery, thinner laptop if it's about weight and performance.
For 40K (~$500) it is extremely difficult to buy anything worthwhile at all.
From compact, but for $1000 ASUS ZENBOOK UX305LA
P.S. MacBook ownership !== good programmer, but (photographer || designer || illustrator) === macbook.
The best way is to ask the author of the module.
Surely the module is paid, which means the author must provide technical support.
