Optimum characteristics of Apple MacBook Pro 13" 2013

Greetings.
I decided to buy a laptop from Apple in the face of a 13-inch model with Retina .
Previously, I did not work with OSX and I can’t imagine how resource-hungry the system is.
I would like, of course, to take the maximum, but budget-budget-budget.
Roughly speaking, there are three positions, the step in each is + $ 200 to the base minimum, for myself I took this i5, 8Gb ram, 128Gb ssd.
So is it worth paying extra
i5 -> i7
8Gb -> 16Gb ram 128Gb -> 256Gb
-> 512Gb ssd
), work with photos (home).
Will i5, 8Gb, 128 Gb be enough for quiet work without lags and blunts? How about a couple of years?
I can afford to fork out at most on two points (I tend to the processor and memory), but perhaps this should not be done? In addition, 128Gb confuses - is it enough?
Thank you.

@dude_sam

In general, I bought a basic 15" model with i7 2Ghz, 8Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD, Iris Pro - I'm happy as an elephant! Everything flies!

I would prioritize like this 1 + memory 2 + ssd 3 + percent.

And I would put the SSD as the lowest priority, since 128 is enough for mobile needs, storing a collection of films on a laptop is bad manners. At home, get a NAS for these purposes, and a USB drive on the road.
Because you wrote the processor + memory, I support it.
