There is no Air for development, but Pro is definitely, and better by 15". In general, the MacBook line, as for me, is ideally designed for work, only the device must be carefully selected for the required tasks.

Software for development is available for any platform.
Used: Win (for a long time and not true), Linux, MacOS.
Now I'm sitting on imaс but the next computer will be with Linux OS.

I will clarify - by web development I mean writing PHP code, layout layouts, it is possible to create them in a graphical editor.
Those. not the creation of extremely complex structures, where computing power plays a role. I focus on the comfort of the above tasks, in comparison with win.

Если нет принципиального желания пользоваться МакОсью и жажды "нумакже" - выгоднее взять не яблочный ноут.
Плюсов у маков считай 3:
1) Ретина, если есть.
2) МакОсь.
3) Батарея.
+ удобный тачпадик в качестве приятного дополнения.
Минусы:
1) Завышенная цена
1.1) Не самая удачная конфигурация, относительно цены
2) МакОсь (минус для тех, кто к ней не привык или кому она не нужна).
По хорошему, Air с пригодной для полноценной разработки конфигурацией по цене почти выравнивается с Pro.
Проще взять прошлогодний про, чем новый air. Ну, мое сугубое имхо.
В целом же, брать Макбук если нет эстетического воздыхания по части Макоси - смысла особого нет.
