Does SEO design affect:
1. Should the site have a unique design or a template (it doesn't matter if the template is expensive or free)? 2. And how much does it affect SEO, because obviously when indexed and crawled
by a search engine robot, this is not included in the top 3 main ranking criteria.

Design today is the key to the success of the site. Only it is determined not by the search engine but by the user. The search engine removes the user's rating from visiting the resource. Shitty design, negative rating, i.e. behavioral factors are low. No top to be seen. This is one of the moments of design, and there are a lot of them. Design is #1 in conversion.
