Backup

Does backing up data using another RAID take place?

Good afternoon!
The question arose - backup, this is what you need to take care of first of all, but how to ensure it, having 1 server?
The idea immediately came to mind that by splitting the entire disk array into RAID arrays, install all working files on one raid, and copy backups to another (if possible).
Number of HDD - 24 slots for HDD 2.5.
Haven't tried it yet, is it real or am I missing something? Please note that I haven't started yet.
If it's not realistic, then tell me how to backup in this scenario.
Thanks

Ideally, buy another server so as not to depend on the raid controller and not load the main server.
What to do if your server goes down?
After all, you can / need to backup not only working files, but also the functionality of the server.

raid to use for backups is pointless and even harmful, I think so. pulled a normal disk, dragged it to another machine - launched the deployment, but what about the raid?
only if this is not a backup but a hot reserve, then it makes sense to have a more or less complete working system

If it’s not realistic to buy another server for backups, you can look at the data backup to the clouds if the channel is normal and the backups themselves are not huge.
As mentioned above, it is worth asking yourself what will I do if the main server fails? For example, turn off and will not start.

Well, such a backup is better than none, but if the controller dies, and the spare is not in your closet, then you will not get the data soon. If there is a fire, a cleaning lady spills a bucket of water on the server, or an encryption virus crawls onto the server, then most likely you won’t get it at all.
I don’t know how much data you have, but if you can take the most dead desktop and stick enough disks into it for backup, then this option is better than a copy on the same server.
