Does amazon plan to introduce a feature: a free electronic version as a gift with the printed version of the book?

I was looking to see if Spring in Action 3rd edition was released and came across an interesting offer on the manning website www.manning.com/walls4/ . If you buy a book from them in paper form, you get an electronic one for free.

Even if Amazon introduces something like this, it will most likely be done as a promotion for a certain book.
