Does a programmer need a higher education after a secondary special education?
Good afternoon.
The following question arose before me: do I need a higher education if I have a secondary special education in a year?
Specialty: 230115 "Programming in computer systems".
The practical base is very good, the theoretical one is a little shaky (in the field of mathematics, mainly). English at an excellent level. There will be work experience (1 year) after completing the internship next year.
Should I enter the university for part-time work and work at the same time? Or even forget about the university and try to make your way with your secondary special education?

You will need a higher education if you want to hold leadership positions in the future.
I'm not saying that a university diploma is required, but some employers no longer even put a head of department without a diploma (there was a case).
Also, in some areas, such as information security, in order to obtain / confirm a license, it is necessary that there be specialists with a higher technical education on the staff.
Programmers are different, there are web programmers who only need a higher education for show, but there are those who write engines, physics and much more, who need strong mathematics, which they still give at a good level at a university.
So please clarify your question. :)
