Do you think it's right when you have to break the rules to delete an account?
Any resemblance to real persons or facts is purely coincidental. Interested only in the question described in the title.
A little background:
It was getting dark. It was raining outside the window, and artsy patterns were drawn drop by drop. As in any such evening, I decided to carve out a minute for trips on the Internet. But something was bothering me. My heart ached and foresaw trouble. I ran to one little-known resource, the name of which I will not mention. Yes, you know it very well and maybe even use it, but why know its name and poison your soul? I just decided to ask to block my account in solidarity with an active and helpful member. Why help a resource if it, or rather the administration of the resource, knows how to put large 18-centimeter stainless steel bolts on people? He was as helpful and sincere as https://toster.ru/user/Maksclubfrom the 3rd page of the top on the toaster. Sometimes it even seems that this is the same person, can you imagine?! But no, who am I kidding. It's a different person (sic!). And the fact that they have the same names and avatars does not prove anything.
In the "Feedback" section there was even a corresponding item "Deleting an account" and nothing foreshadowed trouble!
But what was my surprise when they sent me a letter in the mail, and there ... I felt my heart begin to beat faster, cold sweat broke out on my forehead, and my soul flew into my heels, jumped out of my body and broke through the parquet. The letter contained only two sentences:
We do not block accounts at the request of their owners. But you can continue to violate the rules of the Service (link to the rules) and, thus, force us to apply the sanctions provided for by our regulations.

I asked to block my accountIf we are talking (hehe) about a large resource that is supported by employees, then these employees, for sure, act in accordance with the regulations approved by their management. They may not use "blocking", which is a tool to deal with rule breakers, for any other purpose.
And the fact that a friend was banned for no reason is another story and it makes no sense to discuss it here. How so for nothing? Over there, in his profile https://toster.ru/user/Maksclub ( the link to which you forgot to delete ) it is written: systematic violations of clauses 2.3, 5.17, 8.1. Service rules.
2.3 The publication of questions that only representatives of a particular organization can competently answer inevitably leads to provocation of violations of clauses 3.4, 5.14 - 5.17 of the rules of this Service. Remember that to contact the administrators of electronic resources, you should use the communication channels provided by these administrators, for example, if we are talking about this Service, the feedback form.
5.17. In the vast majority of cases, initiating public discussions of this kind entails the expression of assumptions, rumors and misconceptions. This forces the employees of the discussed electronic resources to spend time tracking and commenting on such discussions.
8.1. Any questions related to the discussion of sanctions for violation of this regulation should be addressed to the support service.and everyone who, like me, subscribed to the Toaster.ru tag today became victims of the actions of your idol, because they received notifications about his questions that they cannot answer, i.e. wasting time in vain looking at them.
