Do you recommend hardware for Time Machine?

Hey! In general, I want an analogue of the Time Capsule.
I see 2 options:
1) Buy a NAS or the Time Capsule itself, fast, expensive (most likely), not interesting. But I would also listen to the opinion, examples of devices.
2) Raspberry Pi. I don’t have it, it would be interesting to try, especially since there is an external drive. Time Machine on it rises easily, according to the manuals. The question is, will it work stably?

Hello, I have been using QNAP for over 4 years now, 2 of them with poppy and with time machines.
Yes, not quickly, but for the house the option is more than satisfied - I have not seen any problems yet.
