Do you know algorithms or ready-made implementations of transformation and reduction of several frames of one object into one of better quality?

There are several shots taken from approximately the same point, but with different rotation, shift, tilt (the differences are small). The footage is not of the best quality. It is necessary to reduce into one slightly better quality, greater clarity of dark areas. There is no Photoshop and there is no desire to install it. Gimp cuts down the transparency of the layers and the blend mode (scoundrel) when rotating, although everything is fine with the shift. I thought of sketching an algorithm in python, but maybe someone already has a similar bike? Or convenient programs under linux?

Under Windows I use ptgui, it can combine several images into one with a higher resolution
Under Linux, I don’t know, here are a couple of similar programs
