The other day I bought a macbook retina 15. In ff on Windows, when you change the scale, there is also, only a little different. This is a feature of the site, the highlighted code on the screen is just 600px wide, I didn’t dig, but that’s the point. Retina is fine :)

The problem is not in the retina, the layout is just a curve, try to scale it at any resolution, in some cases these stripes appear or the site is sprawling.

Load just the main image as a background, and on top of the background fill a transparent vertical strip 1px thick and height of your background.
