Kio has experience with solid state relays, do they get very hot when switching current 1A 220v? Does the margin on the maximum transmitted current affect the heating?

Read the documentation for their power dissipation.
Heating is affected only by the power of the current flowing and the dissipated power of the relay (depending on its resistance)
