Rechargeable batteries

Do I need to unplug my laptop battery when using a power outlet?

I have heard from people that the laptop battery should be disconnected if you are working from the outlet and if it is already charged to 100%, otherwise it will wear out.
I also read another point of view, namely that the battery does not need to be removed, for example, here https://ichip.ru/sovety/nado-li-otklyuchat-batarey...
It says that "when the battery charge is equal to 100%, the controller will switch the laptop to mains mode", that is, "the battery will not be used at all at this time - it will "rest", while being fully charged".
So where is the truth?
Also interested in the same question in relation to a non-removable laptop battery and in relation to a tablet battery.
Thank you in advance.

Do not listen to "people", believe only engineers who have long come up with not to shake the battery once again.
This.

On the one hand, those engineers who designed the Li-Ion battery charger built into the laptop power supply have already come up with everything for you. They developed algorithms according to which this charger will not allow overcharging the battery above 100%, overdischarging below 0%, unbalancing its cells and overheating. Those. in normal operation, this charger drives the battery between 0 and 100%, as a result of which it provides a resource of 500 ... 1000 charge-discharge cycles (for how many years this will last, consider for yourself).
But I saw somewhere that the states of 0% and 100% are the most harmful to the battery, and if they are not allowed (that is, drive a Li-Ion battery between 20% and 80%), then it, of course, it will give a smaller capacity, but the number of cycles will immediately increase to 5000. The built-in charger cannot do this, but if you pull out the battery, then you will save it from the state of 100%. Do not forget to recharge only once every six months or a year (up to the storage voltage, this is 3.7 ... 3.75 volts). It is better to store in the refrigerator, +5...+8 degrees, just like medicines are stored.
UPD I just read that for many branded computers there are special utilities from the manufacturer that allow you to set up a sparing battery mode. Usually users delete all this, as they say, "junk" software, but you see, there is also something useful there.
