Do I need to submit my autoposting app to Facebook for review?
Hello. Help, please advice, who faced a similar problem.
There is an application for auto-posting from a blog on a site to a Facebook group. The application performs its work on behalf of the administrator account of this group. All the "keys" and the necessary rights were obtained on the developer's special page "Graph API Explorer", i.e. The app runs in the background without asking for any additional permissions.
Facebook has issued a warning that the app must be reviewed by August 2nd. However, in the list of features that need checking
user_friends
user_link
user_gender
user_age_range
there doesn't seem to be anything the app is using. In this connection, the question is - is it necessary to send this application for verification, and if so, how? Since the operation of the application is initiated by a php script that runs on a schedule and does not require any rights to work, everything happens automatically, using secret keys and permissions - it is technically impossible to provide the Facebook team with data on the points mentioned above.
One of the items in the Facebook guide added fuel to the fire:
My app uses the publish_actions permission to post stories. Is it affected by v3.0?
The publish_actions permission is deprecated in Graph API v3.0. Apps can still post stories via mediated experiences like the Facebook Share Dialog on the web, or the Share Sheets for iOS and Android. Apps can publish to groups through the publish_groups permission, which requires an app go through review.
It turns out that the Graph API will stop working and you will have to reconfigure the application?
Has anyone faced a similar situation?
