Do I need to set different channels for different points (CAPsMAN)?
Good afternoon
I know that the question has already been discussed, but I did not find a specific answer.
I have a router and an access point (cAP), connected by a cable, instead of creating a seamless network (CAPsMAN), but they are not very far from each other, near one point the other catches a little. There is no way to put it further away, but you need a stable WiFi connection in both rooms.
Interested in the need to set different frequencies (different WiFi channels) for the router and the point. I did not find it in the documentation (maybe I was looking badly).
As far as I understand, understanding a little how WiFi works, if you set one channel for two points, they will work in turn or will interrupt each other - you will have to avoid collisions on L1, but is it? Maybe CAPsMAN also foresaw this and somehow decided beautifully, otherwise why then does Provision go to all devices by default, and in all manuals one channel, one config and one provision are created for any number of points? I admit that due to the fact that points are meant that are far enough away and do not interrupt each other, but this is also not directly indicated anywhere.
There is an idea to set the auto-selection of the channel and see which channel the points will occupy (one for both or different).
Perhaps someone has already encountered this and has a solution (preferably justified and supported by something), I will be grateful for the help.
Thanks

Instead of a thousand words:
in the channel parameters - specify all the necessary channels.
the points themselves will choose a good one.
Or do not specify the frequency at all, the result will be the same ...
