Do I need to resubmit the sitemap when adding content, and which one to submit?

If there are several sitemaps, Google writes you need to submit the main file.
The question arises. I have 10 sitemaps, each with a thousand urls. I'm adding a new article to the site and want to submit the sitemap. Should I re-submit the main file (which means all 10,000 urls)?

This is not necessary, but it will be a little faster indexing if you resubmit. You need to do this with the sitemap of the link in which you updated it. It would be better to put links from facebook and / or twitter to speed up indexing, since manipulations with the sitemama will not give a very quick effect.
