Do I need to put a slash at the end of the path in the path variable?

Just what with a slash, what without, the program seems to work fine, but suddenly there is some nuance in which something will not work?

Can. And sometimes you need to. There was a version of Photoshop where the programmer forgot to add a slash. Therefore, I have TEMP=C:\Temp\. Otherwise, in the root of the disk they were fruitful temp*.tmp.

in PATH - not needed. But the extra slash does not interfere.
For other variables, this may be different.
