Do I need to get consent from the service consumer to receive SMS confirmations?
In light of the tightening of the screws by the OPSOS within the framework of compliance with the law on spam, Megafon and MTS are already demanding the conclusion of a direct agreement. But the most incomprehensible thing is that, according to the service provider (in this case, smsc.ru), each consumer who needs to send an SMS like “Your order is accepted / completed” is required to obtain prior consent. At first they said that it was written with passport data, then they lowered the conditions to “a screenshot with consent.”
What can the community say, how should it really be? No advertising mailings are planned, strictly "Order accepted / completed" and that's it.
upd : I want to emphasize that the law refers to mass mailings. Quotes from numerous resources: “The law defines three signs of SMS distribution: mass character, automatic nature and the use of numbers not provided for by the Russian numbering system (for example, short numbers).”
