Do I need to get a Bachelor of CS to become a good and successful developer?
Comrades, I'm very interested in your opinion, both objective and subjective, on the following distance program from the University of... .
From the point of view of applicability for a beginner (quite, absolutely) programmer, with fragmentary knowledge in various areas of Computer Science, with an already existing bachelor's degree in an unrelated specialty, well, and a desire to fully develop in the future (make a career?) in IT - that's why I look towards a 'fundamental' undergraduate course.
Oh yes, a decent knowledge of English also encourages this particular option, so to speak. There was an article
about this curriculum back in 2018, which claims to be some sort of pioneering UoL undergraduate program - unlike the Master's degree, this is the first time an online bachelor's degree has been offered.
According to the rector, the program is aimed at people of the older generation (compared to the classical age of a student), working people without the opportunity to attend classes, who want to change their specialty, try something new.
I would really appreciate any feedback/thoughts/comments/advice!
