Do I need to buy an SSL certificate if using Cloudflare?

I'm not very knowledgeable in terms of security, so I'm asking for a little help.
I recently screwed Cloudflare and they actively write there that there is SSL and all that. The site even opens via https now. And for a subdomain, it’s generally green (I don’t understand why it’s true). I did not pay anyone, I use a free-tariff.
Tell me, is there any difference or what? Is it possible to update links everywhere now to https or not? After all, even in Metrica, you need to do something (and for SEO too) if https appears.

If you are not an organization that requires a certain level of trust or a company that accepts payments online, then a free certificate is enough for you.
