Do I need CoreLocation simulator for iPhone?

I ran into a problem while developing the application. It was necessary to test how the application reacts to changes in coordinates / movement. Having traveled a couple of hours by car with a phone and a laptop on my lap, I realized that another solution was needed. And it was found. During the test, instead of CLLocationManager'a, a "fake" class was used, which reported a change in coordinates when I moved the marker on Google Maps. Testing just got a whole lot easier.
I wanted to ask if anyone else needs such a solution? Is it worth spending time fine-tuning it to the mind?

I think at first it’s worth adding a solution, and then it will become clear whether to fine-tune it or not (yesterday I myself was tormented by how to emulate the flow of data to the simulator)

As far as I know, such applications are already available on both iOS (it seems, only with a jailbreak) and Android.

In iOS 5 SDK the problem is solved.

In iOS Simulator, you can now simulate different locations for applications using the Core Location framework.

It's worth it, definitely. At the very least, get some valuable experience.
