Try replacing 127.0.0.1 with the address of one of the local interfaces. The meaning is almost the same, but it can work. (if you have a local dns server/forwarder, make sure it is listening on the specified interface).
Or just write a startup script that will set 127.0.0.1 as the only DNS on every boot.
