There is a server in Digital Ocean in use for a year and a half (thanks to GitHub Studen Pack). Prompt kaida or tutorials how to start working with Digital Ocean.
How to work with NodeJS.

Droplet on DO is a regular VPS.
Create a droplet with your preferred OS, receive ip/root/password by mail. Access
via ssh, install the necessary packages, configure your environment using any tutorials from the Internet. There are no specifics here, everything is the same as with any other virtual server hosting.
