Device for GPS/GPRS tracking?

good afternoon everyone
, I had a need to graze the position of one good, large and valuable, but at the same time in some way mobile, object ...
on this object it is possible to use its internal 12V power supply and place antennas so that they are not visible
, as I understand it, that I need something like this device,
but there are so many of them - over 9000, with a price range of 50 to 250 dollars,
the features are more or less the same for everyone, and detailed technical descriptions of our Asian friends are not in a hurry to lay out
which one I need?
and actually the main question - when and to whom does this device transmit something there? and how to set it up there?
Let's say I want to collect data on my server at all
I will be grateful for any advice or personal impressions

all of them: they eat batteries (it’s not relevant to you, but still), they are easily jammed, they don’t work well in conditions of poor reception (although this is probably not relevant to you, due to antennas).
most: sends gps data to some site via internet in sim card.
part: it sends only to the site's embedded address, without the ability to change it, and the site requires a subscriber to access the data.
some: they are able to receive SMS in response to send SMS with coordinates.
a fair amount of trackers: does not save gps data in itself, if there is no cellular coverage, then the data will be lost.
almost everything: awesomely unstable to Siberian frosts :(
maybe: it makes sense to connect the operator's "phone tracking" service and just put any pipe, this is of course not gps in accuracy, but in some cases it is enough.

thanks
, the object is not operated in winter, and we don’t have Siberian frosts,
yes, it’s just important for me that the site can be changed, the subscriber to access data that is already mine is an overkill
regarding jamming - there is a risk, but firstly this is a crime in itself, secondly - the risk is extremely small

There are also domestic developments, however, some of them are very strange :)
Previously, the description was on the official. manufacturer's website , however - now for some reason it's gone.
Data transfer, as it was rightly said above, is carried out through the gprs channel. In addition to sending the actual coordinates, other information can also be transmitted, for example, the level of air pollution at each data collection point, the speed of the vehicle at this point - and so up to at least 5 different sensors can be connected. In a word, customizable.

We use these things at work. You can see online where and what kind of car. As a substrate, an OSM map. One but! Devices love to cut corners, ie. drastically reduce mileage. The fact that the driver drove straight through the gardens is in the order of things. I can only find the names of the pieces of iron next week :(

Arduino + GPS shield + GPRS shield ;)
Whatever you want ;)

arduino is a great, albeit unexpected idea

that is, from the point of view of the implementation of functionality - there are no questions.
I'm more concerned about the case, power, etc. engineering and plumbing problems
