Design books?
Before asking, I have already read some of those that advised on the same issues, so that based on the books you liked, you could advise what would suit me. This is not a cry for help where to start.
- From the very beginning, a good "Book for non-designers", as everything is on examples and a small overview of the classification of fonts, but it is for a complete beginner, which is what is written in the book.
- Not bad books from the Gorbunov Bureau, worth reading.
- On copywriting I want to read "Write and cut." I'm not going to make money by copywriting, but I need to learn how to express myself correctly, I have problems with this.
- "Invisible interface" - the message of the book is clear, there are interesting examples, but you can limit yourself to just examples and a brief thesis. I can't say that I really liked it.
- “A book about letters from Aa to Yaya” by Yuri Gordon - I haven’t finished reading it yet, but so far I really liked it.
- Choi Win - "How to design a modern website" - did not like it. I took a regular grid and made a fictional website based on it. Just as an example of someone who has never used a grid.
- 100 design principles - there are 2 books, there are a couple of interesting tips, but the rest was not interesting for me to read.
- Nikita Obukhov | Web design in the digital environment - a very childish story about design, for a beginner will do.
- Alan Cooper, Steven Krug - I haven’t had time to read it yet, so I can’t say the conclusion yet, but I have them in mind.
So far, that’s all, I don’t expect much benefit from books, so I sometimes read before going to bed, in transport, as an addition to the usual algorithm, I liked the design, copied it - replenished the baggage of visual experience. I tried a couple more books about fonts, closed Shpikerman after 50 pages, tried to borrow a couple more books from Lebedev from the library, though they didn’t suit me, some old authors, I settled on Gordon.
I think the directions themselves are clear: ux, interfaces, grids, typography, etc. The usual components of design. On infographics and logos, I have not tried to read anything from books yet. I haven’t tried to read any other from the top list that advise: emotional design, how to become a designer without selling your soul to the devil, etc., maybe you can give me advice on some specific one.

Dmitry Kirsanov, "Web design"
The book is over 15 years old, so it is absolutely hopelessly outdated in terms of technical aspects.
But it's worth getting acquainted, the author gives some theoretical foundation and teaches you to think instead of a fixed list of rules.
