Dell U2414H monitor question. Why are ready-made modes getting lost?

Good day!
Bought a brand new Dell U2414H monitor yesterday for graphic design work. I connected the monitor to the laptop via HDMI - everything works, but a small problem has ripened.
I set the monitor's color mode (for example, sRGB), but after switching windows (for example, explorer - browser, explorer - skype, etc.), this mode is lost in the standard one. I don't understand why this is happening.
ps If you have programs / articles / tips that will help you properly calibrate the monitor for web design, then I will be very grateful.
