Are there solutions to implement auto-brightness for monitors without this feature?

In the room during the day, the illumination constantly jumps, I do not have time to adjust the brightness, and I understand this only when the contrast is so strong that I cannot distinguish the text. Vision is certainly not happy with this. I know that there are monitors with auto-brightness, but their sensor is not always optimally located, and I don’t want to overpay. Are there any solutions to this problem? Say with a webcam? Is it possible to control the brightness via hdmi at all? Let's say on Samsung c24fg70?

Yes, you can, I haven’t seen ready-made solutions, I’ve only seen them for automatically adjusting lighting and shades depending on geodata, time and the position of the sun ... dance her.
This can be done using almost any programming language. But keep in mind that you can’t jump over 100% of the brightness that your backlight gives out, and with an additional increase in brightness, the picture will simply “lighten up” (in principle, up to a certain threshold, you can say it’s quite acceptable)

I made it easier.
I put blinds and a good table lamp (LED without pulsation - so as not to flicker).
The lamp should not be particularly powerful, just illuminated to smooth out the contrast between the monitor and the surrounding space.
