Dell MD3420 storage drives?
Good afternoon. There is a storage system Dell MD3420. We don't want to overpay for the Dell label on Toshiba, Samsung disks, so we decided to buy the disks ourselves. According to intelligence data, we found out that the Samsung PM1633a series is supported.
We took the MZILS1T9HEJH-00007 disk, and, as expected, the shelf did not want to work with it. After that, I downloaded the firmware for the disks for this shelf from the dell website and saw such a picture there.
It turns out that my disk is not in the folder with the firmware, and as a result, in my opinion, it is not supported by this system. What can I do besides returning the disc to the seller? Drives are good, at the same time it's a pity that Dell does such things
