Debug in NetBeans

Good afternoon.
Please tell me why debugging in NetBeans (linux) may not be available.
Everything compiles. But the debug buttons are not available and breakpoints cannot be set.
PS Gdb costs

I can hardly guess, but maybe xdebug is not worth it?
