Debian HiDPI desktop environment. What to choose?
What DE do you recommend for HiDPI screen? In fact, there is an Intel NUC hooked up to a TV, debian + poor eyesight.
Ideally, I would like to roll something like an interface for mobile devices - a minimum of screen elements, and they are all quite large. Unity is very good in this regard, but you can’t pull it on Debian normally. KDE with scaling looks even more or less. But I never really liked KDE itself because of its monstrosity.
Are there any other options? I know that many DEs offer "integer" scaling. But IMHO it's more of a crutch than an implementation of a scalable interface.

On the latest ubuntu (17.10), Gnome3 (3.26) works fine. I think it's not a problem for Debian to install it. I use it on a HiDPI monitor. Not without a flaw, of course (for QT applications, you have to set the QT_SCALE_FACTOR=2 variable, and for VirtualBox, on the contrary, remove it by scaling the virtual machine screen from the virtual box menu; for java applications, you need the 9th java; etc.). But it scales quite well on a 4K screen.
