DDC/CI interface under Windows without WinI2C/DDC?
Actually, there is a monitor that supports DDC / CI, I want to send commands to it.
Googled and did not find sensible solutions without using the subject library for some inadequate money.
There are programs like SoftMCSS and mControl that can work with this interface.
One is cumbersome and does not know how to send commands through the command line, the other is paid.
I would like something console and light, or, better, the source / manual on how to steer this interface.

In principle, the API as such is in Windows itself. The SetVCPFeature method accepts a monitor handle, a command code, and a value. Command codes and values can be viewed in the softMCSS console log (there seems to be a reverse byte order).

There you can control the brightness via cmd.
