Cursor not showing on graphics tablet. What is the reason?

Hello.
I recently dug up my old drawing tablet.
I decided to work in illustrator. Firewood downloaded, installed. Everything seems to be working.
But there is a problem: the cursor is not visible on the screen. The cursor appears only when you touch the pen on the tablet. It turns out I poke at random.
What could be the reason?

Does the cursor appear in other graphic editors?
Try opening calibration/pen/other buttons settings. Perhaps there is something to display the state of the cursor.
