An online store is planned for about 1500 goods. Made by woocomerce. Advise a hosting for such shop? Will regular hosting suffice? or is it better to rent some vps like this https://timeweb.com/ru/services/vds/ ?

Your question cannot be answered because it is not known how much server resources you will need.
But VPS will always be the more technically flexible choice.
