Cups: different print speed from Ubuntu and Windows?

There is a Raspberry PI with Raspbian. It has CUPS on it. Acts as a print server. There is a computer with Linux and Windows on it.
From Windows it starts printing instantly, and from Ubuntu it takes a long time to print. Moreover, once some dances with tambourines accelerated printing from Linux, but before some kind of system update. I don't remember dancing.
Has anyone come across? What could be the reason?
