CSS preprocessors, why do you need to know them to get the job done?

Explain why social security workers ask if I can use preprocessors?

If let's say I don't like them and it's more convenient for me to write in pure CSS, why is this a minus for the candidate?

Because they are hired into a team in which certain technologies, tools and approaches are adopted. They hire the employee to do exactly what the employer wants from him, and not what the employee likes.

They increase productivity, that is, you will work many times faster with them, it is clear that fools who do not know how to use them, no one will hire her, simply because you will eventually do everything slower and cost the company more

Everything is simple. The project uses preprocessors. Therefore, it makes no sense to hire a person who does not write to them. I don’t even know why you don’t like them, because they objectively reduce the time (because of this they are usually used)
