Cross-browser compatibility in EDGE, what's the problem?

In the MS EDGE browser (which is in win 10), a bug appears: white stripes appear in the menu when hovering over the items, in other browsers this bug is not.

Tried to reproduce a bug in codepen - it doesn't repeat, please see what could be wrong?

I think it's a font height problem. See what is the height of the menu items in different browsers.
