Relevance: Need a topic for the thesis (1.5 years left). It is very interesting to create the simplest intelligent transport network. For example, a working laptop as a traffic control center (receiving and processing data, displaying convenient and beautiful graphics, real-time traffic map, forecasting) and installing measuring sensors on two or three streets (temporarily, while testing the system for collecting real data ).
Essence of the question:Hype on ITS in 2010-2012 passed me by and I learned about this miracle system only in 2017. Where to start. What pitfalls can be encountered in the course of work. How to implement this idea. I am well aware that the topic is complex and broad. It is possible to write 4 volumes only on the topic of transmitting data from measuring sensors to a data reception and processing center. But the topic really grabbed me. Now I can't eat and sleep peacefully. I want to do something.
