How to choose a diode bridge for a transformer?
Good afternoon.
I have a 220v to 6v transformer circuit, then a diode bridge (rectifier) and after a 5v relay. How to choose the right diode bridge and do you need a capacitor (which smoothes) after the diode bridge in this case or is it non-critical for the relay?
UPD:
Relay for 30a, songle SLA-05VDC

the diode bridge is selected according to the load, what current the load consumes as much as possible for such a current (or more) and the bridge diodes are selected.
option 2: at least, calculate by the power of the transformer.
capacitance is required, because in a relay without it there will be a bounce, with all the bad consequences.
the rectified unsmoothed ripple voltage is 100%.
electrolytes are cheap, so don't skimp on the little things.
