Is it possible to connect in parallel to the RS-232 (RS-485) port?
Good afternoon!
I ask for your help in this matter.
In detail, everything looks like this: There is an auto scale, there is only one RS-232 \ RS-485 connector on the block. A computer is already connected to the unit to record measurements. Accordingly, no software can access the port anymore, because. the port is busy. But you need to connect another computer with different software to the scales.
Scales max. The protocol is probably closed, because in the "terminal" numerical values \u200b\u200bare not visible.
Suggest something.

if you use mudbus (RS-485) you can connect computers to collect data as much as you like.
in cases with RS-232, if there is no declared possibility, then rather not, BUT there is a way out, you can use converters like moxa NPort 5110 (I like them but they are expensive) or a cheap option:
1) iRZ TE10 (RS232/Ethernet)
2) ATC-1000
3) iRZ Switch RS232(Interface Splitter)
