Could you help a beginner with upwork questions?


Hello, I have never done freelancing before and decided to try in the field of logo design on upwork, in connection with this a number of questions arose: upwork profile? I want my own site, because there I was able to arrange a portfolio as I wanted.
2. Does it make sense to change Membership plans from basic to plus? If you don't have any work experience. The same question, as I understand the plan is issued in the form of a subscription, how can I issue it for a month or, if necessary, stop the subscription?

1. You can refer to Upwork as much as you like, but from Upwork to your site, obviously you can’t, and it seems to be in the rules. It is possible to indicate a link to your portfolio in the correspondence with the client, but according to the experience of other upworkers, this can be interpreted as "luring" the client out of the platform, which is prohibited. There is a risk of being misunderstood and blocked, very carefully, if at all.
2. If there is no experience, it is probably not necessary. Changing the tariff gives more connections, allows you to hide earnings from public viewing ... I think all this is now unnecessary. The subscription is made out by payment, at least for a month, you can always change the tariff, but it seems impossible to return the payment. Never changed down.)
