Correctly "getting rid of" from GRUB

Hey Habr!
On Win7 laptop and Backtrack. Unfortunately, there is not much space on the HDD and it was decided to transfer Linux to flash. The problem arises that if I just format the Linux partition, then I will kill the bootloader accordingly (I have already stepped on this rake). Then fixmbr fixboot did not save.
Who can advise something in this situation?

To avoid such problems, put grub not in mbr, but on the partition with linux and make this partition active.
To demolish, it is enough to make the win partition active back.

Personally, I once used something similar from Akronis. Either acronis os selector, or somehow differently, but the meaning is the same. If fixboot does not help, install some kind of boot manager.

Do not erase the boot partition as an option is not suitable?

By the way, yes, I was quite surprised that fixboot fixmbr is powerless against the stupidity of grub

When I did this for the first time, I ended up ruining both systems.
Now I put it on a USB flash drive from a disk, but not on a laptop, but on a PC with disabled disks.
Everything works with ease and no problems are foreseen

We insert the Win7 disk and select system restore, the bootloader in the MBR will be automatically restored.

You can burn GRUB onto a USB flash drive, for me personally, all these machinations with restoring the MBR bootloader after GRUB have never been successful.
