"Correct" domain registration?
Welcome all! I want to register a domain in the .com or .ru zone. I would like to know about the pitfalls of this procedure. Is it worth registering a domain for yourself, or is it better through an intermediary? What trusted intermediary is better to use?
PS I will also be grateful for advice on choosing the simplest (inexpensive) PHP5 & MySQL hosting.

When registering domains in the .ru zone, you must provide a copy of your passport, so it is better to register for yourself - it will be easier to return the domain in case of any problems.
And it is better to buy from accredited registrars:
www.cctld.ru/ru/registrators/
you can register through reg.ru or one of their many partners (partners are often cheaper) - for example, with me :-) ...
but in general - with any accredited registrar ... the link above was to the list ...
I tried a lot of things in practice, but settled on GoDaddy. The price/quality/opportunity ratio for me turned out to be optimal.
1gb.ru - all in one, adequate support.
never had a problem with them.
prices are average in the market.
2domains.ru. Register to the person who actually registers the domain. Partner reg.ru. In which case, the domains will not go anywhere.
If you don’t feel sorry for the money, then stomp into the reg.ru itself.
About hosting. If you are not embarrassed by the lack of Russian papers and, in general, the overseas nature of servers - write to me in a personal, we will come up with a cheap hosting for you) An empty 8 core hangs out.
