Copyright for a program created on the basis of software distributed under the GPL license

There is a certain framework, it is distributed on the basis of the GPL license. There is a product created on this framework, that is, the frame of the framework, and everything else is created by the author. Is it possible to register copyright for this product or not?

Well, yes. Only if not under the LGPL. If the framework is based on the LGPL, it is not commercially possible.
For example, programs written in Qt Nokia SDK - LGPL. It is forbidden.
But Qt SDK Commercial - you can.

How are copyright and the license under which the software is distributed related? Copyright belongs to the author regardless of the license to distribute the object of copyright.
Regarding your case, you either create a derivative work and become a co-author of the original work (this is the case described in the GPL in the first place), or you are the author of an independent work that can use the framework on the GPL. The second case is difficult for me to comment on in relation to the Web. If we talk about compiled languages, then you will have an independent work if your program is compiled without using a "framework" and does not include it as a static library.

You can easily register copyright. This is generally an optional thing and is done in the same Rospatent in a couple of weeks and 6 thousand rubles.
There is not much value in this registration itself, and this registration has absolutely nothing to do with licensing the code.
