Continue learning Python or start learning PHP?

Good day!
Briefly about myself : I moved to Moscow from the city of Tashkent for permanent residence, citizenship of the Russian Federation is in the process of registration.
As a college student, during his 3rd year internship, he got a job as a flash developer in an IT company.
This year I graduated from college, with a year of experience in the company behind me, and decided to ask to raise the salary from student to average, like a full-time employee. With great reluctance, they raised it to me (still lower than the average) and said that they would not raise it anymore, since I am not a citizen of the Russian Federation .
After getting a job, I mastered ActionScript3. At first I liked everything, until I decided to write a diploma on it. At work, I rarely encountered code, except for the last period of time, and therefore, after graduating from college, I began to learn Python. I really liked Python. I devote all my free time to coding on it.
Question : Now there is tension with finances. There is an option to get a job in one company, it does not care about my citizenship, but for this I will have to learn PHP and 1C Bitrix , the first month I will receive the same amount as now, then everything depends on me, and not on the passport. Or still rivet a portfolio in Python 'e and hope that my passport will not be important to the future employer?

I code in php, but in your case I would stay away from 1c ( FanatPHP 's answer is also a confirmation of this), because snakes are better) and after such words " I devote all my free time to coding on it " anyway, then you will miss him and coding in python at night and as a result, depression will soon cover you and you will have to return to your favorite language anyway :D

The question is not about programming.
A greedy and stupid employer in IT is, alas, not a rare phenomenon.
But, fortunately, not as common as in other areas.
So finding someone who does not care about a passport is not a problem.
But it's not just employers, it's also the technology itself.
Take into account that:
Conclusion - I would not go.

You have a dreamer's attitude. You first do what you like, and then you expect it to be useful to someone. There is a chance of success, but it is extremely small.
There is an entrepreneurial approach, to think every day, every hour and every moment of time about how you can be useful to others. Once you understand this, you will see that the python market is extremely small and having this knowledge is of little use to you. And when you are of little use, then your price will be low.
PHP, 1C Bitrix or WordPress have a much larger market. With this knowledge, you can be much more useful to others. Provided that you learn to think in this way. It's not easy and not everyone succeeds.
And then what kind of education or nationality do you have - yes, no one cares from the big mountain. And for those who don’t give a damn, they just lie and cover up other motives. Or they just don’t want to offend you - if you have a mind with a gulkin nose.

Don't even start my advice to you. I myself started to get acquainted with programming from under Php, everything seems to be in order, 6 months of freelancing, I studied Code Ignitor. But then I met Python with its incredible readability, convenience, development speed and features.
Php is the language of bones and bicycles. There is never a single normal solution, unlike Python, where before you someone has already gone that way and created very good libraries for work. Therefore, do not even think about the transition, if you want the web, take Djnago/Flask/Tornado and go.

If there is an urgent need for money and contra gives you the opportunity to learn PHP - why not go there? But in no case do not quit python, it will still be very useful to you.

"Bitrix" (like any product with the "1C" prefix) is an incredible shit and a direct path to professional degradation (as mentioned above). If it's PHP, then you need to learn Symfony2, Yii or Laravel. Especially since you are in Moscow - I will never believe that there are few vacancies there, even for PHP developers, even for Python, even for Flash.

I'm just warning you that it's hard to find a job for a beginner Python/Django programmer. Therefore, if you have money problems, then you should not yet.
But along with your current job, you can do some Django programming and in a year, you might find a higher paying job a little more easily. There is an incredible hunger in the market for experienced Python programmers and they pay a lot.
However, I would still look towards GO.

1C Bitrix - you will cut down a lot of dough! You can take on Bitrix, but not like Maine

You can PHP, and a little Python to continue to be in shape. Knowing a couple of languages is fine.

Now Python is in demand again on the market and they pay from $2500. So just look for a vacancy for a pythonist and if you are an intelligent specialist, then everything will work out ..
