Constant bursts of MS SQL disk subsystem counters, is it normal?
Good afternoon. I work with MS SQL 2008 R2. Not satisfied with the performance of the application. I looked at the disk counters, the average values of the counters are normal, but stable "bursts" are observed. Whether such behavior of a disk subsystem is normal?

Perhaps normal. It is possible that this is a cache / log reset.
It’s impossible to say without more accurate data: how the base is configured, its size, the dimension of bursts (and I think something else, but I won’t say more precisely)
Open performance monitoring and find the process that generates the load.
