Does encryption have a significant impact on traffic packet size?

I'm wondering how much encryption changes the size of traffic packets

Here is an example of overhead calculation when using IPv4 over GRE over IPSec (over IPv4). It is difficult to judge how "significant" these 56-76 bytes are without knowing the criteria for evaluating "significance".

It depends on what, but in general, yes - the packet is encrypted by being encapsulated in another packet - the size grows by the size of the service information.

As an option, collect statistics before and after encryption, for example with the command:
Perhaps with another suitable tool or analyze the result of tcpdump'a.
