Under what conditions are connections returned to Upwork? Obviously every month. Are there any other returns?

Connections are returned only if the project for which the freelancer left the application was closed by the customer or Upwork itself and as a result no one was selected as the contractor. Well, and recently Upwork returned connections that were used during service outages.

Only if the client has closed the project, but this almost never happens in a month, three or four letters arrive that the client has closed the project. So you can say never.
