Connecting WD My Book Live directly to a computer?

Bought WD My Book Live. Very convenient management through the web-interface. But I’m wondering if it’s possible to somehow connect it directly to a computer (no USB), if there is no infrastructure in the apartment. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Connect directly with a crossover cable.

Can be disassembled and connected like a regular screw with a regular cord. Of course, this is a bit perverted for normal operation, but if suddenly it does not load, then I fixed it like this - I hooked it to the computer and rearranged the axis :)
