Connecting multiple (4-8) HDD 2.5" to a computer via USB?
There are 2.5" HDDs (SATA) that have accumulated over many years, now they live in external boxes (all boxes are of the same model) and are periodically connected to computers. They are not taken out of the house, mobility is not needed.
How can they all be brought into one storage? make (print) a holder in the form of a comb, put all the disks in the boxes there and connect them to one USB3 hub with external power.
But maybe there is a ready-made device for many 2.5" disks, into which you can charge them all at once, and connect with one USB cable? What I could find are bulky 3.5 discs, and no more than 4 pieces.
USB, not e-SATA - as it is supposed to be connected to the RPi.

There are docking stations for several disks.
For example https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-4-Bay-Drive-Do... the first one that came across.
Googled multiple hdd dock.
It costs, of course, cheaper than NAS, but also not a penny.
And in my personal experience, the docks are all kind of stupid mechanically and in terms of stability (long connection, dumps, etc.) cheaper than factory.
